milk was a poor choice

So the reason i haven't been blogging much is basically the business factor. also there's 8 people in the house and we're all using kierans computer so i personally don't want to be hogging it too much unlike others in the house. It's the fourth of july and after the past week i'm in no mood for another night without sleep. mike kieran and the girls from work have gone to provincetown, the gay capital of the cape. they have all the good fireworks this year apparently.

so let's see what's been going on in the world of the americas? there's been two 21sts mine and aidans, a trip to new york, a fireworks night and everything in between. the trip to new york was on tuesday and wednesday, we decided on the monday night at about 1 in the morning that we'd go. So it was myself and rob (my new housemate, a really nice guy) got up at like half six got a 2 hr bus journey to boston then a 6 hr bus to new york so we started wandering aroud and about a half an hour off the bus and turns out rob lost his phone. this would normally be ok however we had arranged to meet his buddy in grand central station at 5. so we chanced going down thereto see if we could spot him. hung around for an hour or two looking for him and also spent loads on payphone calls trying to find other number but no luck. (turns out the guy we were trying to find was there for an hour too but we never bumped into him). so then we wandered around a bit went to times square and got alot of pictures which i can't upload cos the internet connections a bit dodgy for some reason. so then we stayed in a hostel got up in the morning went through central park got a subway to wall street walked down to the staten island ferry, got that got some pictures of the skyline and the statue of liberty. then pretty much went home. that's a very condensed version of the trip but that's all the main parts. all in all it was good, the lost phone made for a different way to see the city.

we got back on the wednesday night then th next night was my 21st. was working that day the girls in work got me a load of stuff like twinkies, ho hos, water guns, silly putty and a pair of crocs (they're all the rage in america but if you ask me they look like clogs) it's a work joke really. the so work was grand and then i got home had a huge water fight. our house is fucking class for it, if i can upload pictures i will. we're on the second floor, there's 2 big balconies and two ways up, you can climb up on the roof and there's a big parking lot and a decking downstairs so it's brilliant. then we wen't out dank loads of interesting shot's, got hit on majorly by my boss then headed back to the house where people had arrived already and had a little partay.

don't think we did much on the friday but then on saturday we had a big bbq and stood out and watched the big fireworks on our balcony with the amazing view of the harbour. that night i was hit upon by another girl in work but since i had already turned down the boss i felt guilty so nothing came of it. but it was still a good night, much drinking done. sunday night was aidans 21st twas another good night. and then last night we took him out for dinner and ended up staying out til about 2 dancing to such wonderful dittys like sandstorm. twas a bit of fun but now i'm wrecked. so at least i've tomorrow off now. hope ye're all getting on alright back home. missing the old chilled out nights in back home as lame as it sounds. very hectic out here and the sleeping patterns are fucking me up. anyway I'm sure that'll be enough to tide ye over. if any of ye are gonna be near a landline anytime soon lemme know and i might give ye a ring. talk chee soon kids

steve, although i would prefer to engage with all the crazy happenings in your life i can't ignore the grammar thing. i couldn't agree more, some americanisms piss me off and none more so than "write you". its the way they say it, like "ill write you next week". write me what? a cheque? a post card? an autograph on my ballbag? muppets. my other pet hate is americans who say numbers without the and; like "four hundred ninety" its four hundred AND ninety dickhead. go research what a conjunction is and use that motherfucker in everyday speech. dem cyunts dont know nothin bout talkin proper, knowwaddimean? (and before you get excited paul - yes i am being ironic. and proper irony, not the american sort where they mean sarcastic)

apart from that, the J1 experience sounds unreal. i would engage more except i have such limited internet access. this is my first time online in 2 weeks. im at home monday to thursday next week. give me a buzz whenever you can mate. talkchookid
